Land Rover Landie: the lowdown
Land Rover flashed up this tantalising glimpse of the Landie at the Frankfurt Motor Show today, confirming the long-rumoured lower-priced SUV to slot beneath the Freelander. Cynics might accuse the company of distracting show-goers from the fact that there was nothing especially new on its stand. It seems that Land Rover – currently up for sale alongside sister firm Jag with a sale expected this autumn - is repeating its strategy with the Range Stormer concept.
New supercar-company releases hit our email inboxes almost as much as news about natural male enhancements does. Mostly, we pay them no mind; the majority of these “upcoming” hyper-hyper cars never make it out of the computer-rendering phase. But when a company claims Formula One driver Gilles Villeneuve as one of its first customers, we take notice.
The 2014 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid will make its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. It will feature a new three-motor hybrid system and Acura's torque-vectoring Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive, along with 377 combined hp. The RLX continues with Acura's 3.5-liter V6 making 310 hp with variable cylinder management.
